Over the weekend I started playing a game called The World Ends With You. It is crazy crazy hard.

The battles happen on both the bottom and top screens of the ds. And you have to control both characters at the same time! It's so incredibly hard!

I'm on day 3, which has no time limit (normally each day is timed), so I have been practicing fighting. I don't think I will ever get the hang of it.

I'm nearly at the end of the game and to be hoenst I just set the top screen to auto, it's too hard to control both at once for me, especially if I'm doing chain battles (which get you better goodies!). I'm thinking after I finish it I might try to replay it following a walkthrough so I can properly evolve all my pins, get some of the harder to find versions, etc. and if I do I'll probably try to control my partner as well. Also, I don't think the time limits are actually enforced, but I'm not quite sure. I know I've never run out of time at least and I messed around leveling up and trying to get pins a bit.

I feel like if I don't at least try to control both panels, the game would be too easy. Cause really without the two battle system, the game isn't all that different from many other games out there.

It's pretty easy if you just play like normal only using your screen, but you can also set your level down or play on hard difficulty (which you might not have yet, I forget when you get that option) to make the fights more challenging. Or just play the top screen when you're close to a combo to get fusion attacks. I don't want to say too much since it kind of gets into spoilers, but it's probably easiest to control both screens toward the beginning of the game, at least part of the time, but later on I ended up deciding it was too difficult... ^^;

Oh, and while I'm thinking about it- the best way to do more damage is to follow the light puck- whoever has it does more damage so if the two screens at once is too challenging but only bottom too easy, you can switch back and forth when the light puck is passed. You can still dash Neku out of the way of attacks easily and such, and if you set the auto player to medium it will still take over fairly quickly when you focus on playing as Neku. : ) I've also found that the auto play is really stupid when it comes to matching up combos, so in a way that also makes it more difficult because you get fewer fusion attacks. If I'm doing a 3 or 4 chain battle I'll usually switch to controlling the top player when there's only like 1 noise left on the earlier battles so I can get a fusion attack for the start of the next battle. : )

Man I wanna play this game now... -_-

I am following the light puck. And focusing on getting fusion attacks. But it's still hard to pay attention to two things at once like that! The crazy person who thought up this game must have had two heads.

I was pretty damn confused when I started with the duo screen thing but I'm pretty used to it now. I think I'm around day 2-4, haven't played it in a while. The awkward part is keeping track of the girl's sequence while trying to keep the guy from being torn apart on the bottom screen. X_x

Following the puck seems to help a little in keeping track of both characters. I'm up to day 5, but I keep getting killed. Not fun!
