Saturday was a shopping day. I bought $50 worth of fabric to make my rainbow bright costume. Tried to console myself by pointing out the petticoat will be reusable.
After that, I tried to find some new clothes for work. I find I am wearing the same 6 or 7 outfits over and over again. I found absolutely nothing I liked at target, but I did find a nice skull shirt in a $5 or less store in the same strip mall. Also found a shirt I liked at TJ max, but they only had it in small which made me look like a stuffed sausage.
My last stop on my shopping trip was to a costume/party store. I was intensely disappointed by their real costume supply selection. If you wanted a pre-packaged costume in a bag, they had it. But if you wanted a wig or non-generic face paint, you were out of luck. I will have to order those online.
Sunday, ben took me to the renfaire. He is the most wonderful boyfriend ever because he does not like renfaires. However, I didn't think some other friends would be coming so he offered to go with me to make me happy. In return, I bought him all the renfaire food he could ever want. (Steak on a stake, cheesecake on a stick, turkey leg...)
We saw lots of shows, including stupid pet tricks, lame children tricks, and a sword swallower. The sword swallower was the best, even though his act was almost the same as last years. Ben seemed to enjoy it too.
Rob and Dani got to the faire late, so I was really glad I had ben with me. I feel bad though cause we then left early. Ben had work early the next day so we had to go home and rest.
Monday was a day full of meetings that flew by. It was madness. And now I have another meeting! Curses!
