Did I ever mention I started to read this? I found it online as "Perfect Girl Evolution" and was instantly hooked. And surprised to learn it was actually licensed! So for giftmas, I asked for the last couple volumes and will start reading it legitimately. I like to imagine that if I buy good things, more good things will be made.
Anyway, I adore this series. It's totally ridiculous. It's about a shut-in goth girl named Sunako who runs her wealthy aunt's boarding house for her. The four unrealistically pretty boys that live there were told by the aunt that if they could turn Sunako into a social, cultured lady, she'd waive their rent.
By vol 20, they hardly ever try anymore. Sunako has them trained. Plus she's actually extremely pretty when she wants to be, so the boys mostly leave her to her own devices except when her aunt pays a call or when the comic needs some more humor.
Sunako and I would be best friends if she were real because she loves skulls more than I do. And her favorite holiday is halloween too!
There's a loose love plot in the series between Sunako and one of the boys, but I don't think it'll ever go anywhere. The comic is almost pure comedy and I am happy with that.
...and I think I'm finally caught up on all the books I've read the last few weeks. *phew* I am a reading fiend without internet!
