I think this shift is the most boring shift ever. And I'm so tired. Plus I have a test tmorrow. I know most of it, but I'm still a bit iffy on the new stuff.

The ants got into my just opened box of cereal. That makes me very very sad. All that yummy cereal gone to waste. *sigh* I hate ants. I need to get a huge plastic bin that seals tightly closed. Then I'll keep all my opened stuff in there. My roommate can use it too. The ants got into her super huge bag of m&ms.

I desperately need to go food shopping. My fridge is so empty that it echoes.
Just a few things that I need/want: Long list and stupid sleep deprived but very hungry ramblings )

Ewwwww....A mosquito was trying to eat me!!!! But don't worry, it's dead now! Yay!!!

But I'm out of iced tea. *pout* It's a good thing my shift is more than half over. But oh so sleepy....I'm not sure I'm going to make it.

Why aren't there any fun games to play on this comp? I demand entertainment!!!!

So I was wandering around for stuff on Kingdom hearts, and I found this reaction about Sephiroth that was so cute!

Yeah, I got my butt kicked in .93 nanoseconds, but dammit, I was PROUD to have my butt kicked. Yes, sir, you can kill me. I totally understand. thank you, It's been an honor. Love the wing. It's you. that was one hell of an entrance, Sir. No, I don't see how anybody could call you "Sephypoo", you scary motherfucking bastard.

We had first frost two nights ago -- but a gentle sort of frost, rather than the killer ones we sometimes get -- which meant that I spent some of yesterday afternoon harvesting things -- lots of eggplants and peppers (jalapeno, cayenne, cherry hots, and various sweet peppers) and squashes, and, of course, the pumpkin crop. Which proved the saddest of all the crops, really -- I'd been on the road too much this year, and dealing with the legal case, and wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been, or as much as I normally do. Several of the bigger ones had been nibbled away by mice and bugs. Still, harvest enough for many pies and stews (you can serve soups and stews inside hollowed out, cooked pumpkins, you know) along with enough big ones to do jack-o-lanterny things with. The exotic pumpkin contingent consist mostly of weird orangey ones, and some odd greenish-grey japanese pumpkins.

THE WOLVES IN THE WALLS is all finished. It's a graphic novel, by Dave McKean and me, for young people and those who have to read to them -- like THE DAY I SWAPPED MY DAD FOR TWO GOLDFISH only with more panels, not just single-pages. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Jill Thompson's doing a strange project right now -- it's a manga-style book, based around the Sandman book "Season of Mists" -- a sort of lighthearted fantasia about what Death, Delirium and Despair were doing during that period. I had been holding my breath slightly on it (trusting Jill, and having loved her Little Endless Storybook so much, but still having doubts about whether even Jill could pull this off), until a bunch of pages came out of my fax machine yesterday. She's doing everything herself, even lettering, and she's doing an amazing job. Any time that events overlap with scenes from "Season of Mists", she uses the dialogue I wrote, or extracts from it. The art is a whole new Jill style. Lovely stuff. Happy on the page.)
Hit burnout right in the middle of class. Too much studying. Not enough sleep. Too much going on in my poor little brain. I think I'll go crawl in bed with my plushies and sleep. Sleep is nice and I don't worry about stuff when I sleep.

But eventually i've got to get up. Got a midterm tomorrow. A midterm on thursday. A quiz on friday. And a paper due monday on a book I haven't found time to read yet.
I had a nice hot bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch. I lifted up toawrd my mouth so that I wouldn't drip anything on my lap. And somehow I managed to dip my ankh into the soup. ^^;
Ok, if I can memorize all the readings and their authors by 8, I'll let myself ahve an hour or so of video game goodness.

Which reminds me...

Ah yes, the usual. Nearly walked into a wall. Missed by the millimeter. Maybe greg's right. Maybe my problem is that I don't have whiskers like a proper ninja catgirl pirate and so I have no sense of space.

Or maybe it was because I decided in my exhaustion that walking with my eyes closed was a good idea.

Either or, either or.... :P
