I'm finally home. I let yesterday morning. I'M FINALLY HOME!!!!!

My adventure in the Atlanta airport. Or, how Delta made me cry.

I did not ahve a fun time flying home. At all. Just consider that I was SUPPOSED to be home last night. Oh yes, I am not happy.

The airport had a security breach. So all flights were delayed. My flight left an hour and a half late. We arrived 5 minutes after my connection left.

Delta put me on standby for the next flight. But it was full. So I was put on standby for the one after that. I kept getting pushed around the airport from terminal to terminal. (The international one is very nice, by the way.)

Finally, after the last flight of the day at 11:45 was delayed and then I still didn't get on it, I cried to them taht I needed to get home! The woman managed to get me on a 2:40 flight the enxt day. Then there was a problem....it was the NEXT DAY!!!!! I had to stay in Atlanta overnight!!!!

So Delta gave me a hotel room. At the Hilton. Very nice, but it was scary to be by myself!!!! Also, I didn't ahve my leggage. They made it to new Orleans, even if I did not. Delta gave me a little bag with a tooth brush in it and a fake apology letter inside.

I showered and felt human again. But I didn't ahve any spare clothes. I fashioned a crude sort of pjs out of the huge towel I found in the bathroom. It was better tahn sleeping in my clothes.

The next morning I returned to the airport. I was cleared for my flight, but still didn't ahve a seat. Made me very nervous. Finally, about an hour before boarding, my name appeared on the cleared lsit with a seat number. I was a happy girl.

And so I'm finally back. It was pretty cool how worried everyone was. Though i feel bad for making them worry.

After such a long trip, I'm SO ready for bed....
