Went to parades. Hermes and D'etat. Didn't get a lot of beads, but taht's ok. It was still fun.
( Look! A float! )
I have developed a new strategy. When a float passes by, I bounce up and down a lot and wave. It requires so much energy taht most people give up on the technique after the 3rd float or so. I kept it up through both parades. *exhausted*
My hard work paid off a couple of times though! Got a plushie! Go me! And got some beads tossed my way that otherwise would not have been.
Lession for the day: When something hits you in the head, you know it was for you.
I'm also amused at how willing we are to wait when the parades break down. I guess I'm just used to it. These things break down all the time. It's pretty sad. But we waited it out. Yup. And these ones broke a whole bunch of times!
We amused ourselves very easily tonight while we waited. It wasn't that cold, so waiting around was just an inconvenience. We'd play with the stuff we got or dance around or beat up greg.
Oh, and greg, if you ever stick that comb in my hair again I will kick you in the shins! Very mean! *pout* (He stuck a GIANT COMB in my hair! I looked rediculous!)
Anyway, after the parades we went to McDonald's to get food. Then the walk back home. St Charles never seems so long as when you have to walk it after standing for over 3 hours. My legs hurt SO MUCH!
Getting home and sitting down was wonderful. Eventually got the energy to shower. Soap washed off black. Ewwwww.... But I am clean now. All is good. I go to sleep now. Need it badly. Then more parades! Yay!
