Last night I went to bed earlier. There wasn't anything really to stay up for. Plus I've been SO tired since I got home. It's very strange. I'm never this tired. I just want to sleep all day forever and ever.

But at least I got to sleep woth my dog. She's so cute. She curls up next to me to keep warm at night, but then gets too hot and claws her way out from under the blankets. Then she's cold again, and has to crawl back under the blankets. And she does that all night. Once I get used to sleeping with something that moves around all night I should sleep through it. If she wasn't so cute I'd be really annoyed.

Right now she's biting her nails. Isn't that adorable!?

I'm supposed to do laundry today. and go food shopping. And take my brother to the movies. He wants to see X2. I have to be back by 4, so in order to do that I would have to leave by 1? I don't think that's going to happen. I haven't even showered yet.

Erk, timeto go. My dog is climbing on the clean laundry. Oh...now she's fallen asleep in it. She's so cute. I wish I didn't ahve to move her. But I'm not washing all that stuff again.

And I need to make a new lj icon. Something for being home. To replace the finals one. That will give me something to do later. Yay!

Ah yes, the joys of having a dog...

My parents informed me that the last time my dog had a bath was in january. That was the last time I was home! My poor stinky dog!

So I just ran her a bath and washed her all over to make her squeaky clean. She's so cute in the tub. She's terrified of water. So she stands there with her tail against her butt, shivering and shaking, and pleading with me with her cute little sad puppy eyes.

She's much happier once she's out. She loves being toweled off. She wags her tail and sniffles at me as I rub a towel all over her making her dry. Then I let hr loose and she runs all over the house, rubbing her damp little body against everything!

Now she wants to sleep on the clean clothes. But I won't let her. I have to keep and eye on her, so when I see her about to jump, I can yell at her.

I guess I should shower soon. I hope I didn't use up too much of the hot water on the dog. :P

So I checked the little weather thingie on lj today. It tells me the temp. Very useful. Anyway, I looked this morning and it said 90 degrees. I got REALLY excited! Then I realized it was for new orleans. HERE its about 60. Brrrr....

But in my effort to say one nice thing for each complaining post, the water here doesn't make me itch. Not itchy sadness after I shower. It's nice.
Mother's Day. The most uneventful yet.

I remember when I was little, I'd make breakfast bright and early for my mom, then shower her with gifts as she sat confortably in bed. My brother and I would present her with hand-made cards, which she'd exclaim were beautiful even if they were just blobs of color and stickers.

This year mom got up early and went to work. She left us with a list of chores she wanted us to do. Around 6 she came home, my brother and I each gave her a store bought card. At least I made sure mine was a good one. My brother bought the first one he saw that said "From your son."

Oh, and I got mom some flowers, but she knew about them already. It's kinda hard to hide that many flowers. They were the kind you plant, so there wasn't any place to put them without tracking dirt all over the house.

Anyway, then we went to grandma's house. She had ordered food at a local boston-market type place. Everyone ate, and then we sat around and watched tv. Dessert was served. I made my pudding look fancy with whipped cream and strawberries. All semi-professiional looking and stuff.

Then we left. I don't think I ever actually said Happy Mother's Day to Mom or Grandma. I'm a terrible person I guess.... It just didn't feel like a holiday, so it slipped my mind. *sigh*
