People here now. They have invaded my dear, beloved computer room. Who knows when I shall gain full access to it again. However, They have offered to teach me to crochet. So I think I win here. Go me.
I worked on the braided falls for a long time today. I finished the first layer up, then took a fun-filled trip to micheal's to get some beads. Why don't they sell fish beads? Arggh! I was going to get fish and watermelon beads, but the only fish ones were in a "fiesta" pack. Also, they were more expensive than I would ahve liked. So, I got the fish beads but skipped the watermelon ones. Rather, I found a pack of butterfly beads that were much cheaper and came with a lot more. Now my hair will be full of butterflies and fish and bananas and flowers and monkeys.
The falls are VERY heavy. In order to keep them on my head I'll have to put my pony tails right on the top of my head, and secure the falls with bobby pins. (Note to self: Bring bobby pins with you.) I tried them on today, though they are only 75% done, and had trouble holding them on. My pig tails were much too low on my head. I pulled them higher up and the falls stayed on much better. Still, they did slide off a little if I ran about too much. So a little higher, and some bobby pins. That should work.
Also, some time this week I'd like to go to that fabric sale in deerpark. 50% is certainly worth hauling myself all the way down there. I hope they ahve some material I can use for my peper costume.
And hey, the 4th of july is coming up. Look at that. That means today was Canada Day! Wheeeeee!!!
