Jul. 14th, 2003 11:09 amI've had to get up early for the last 3 days in a row. I'm not used to that so I was TIRED! I even went to bed early last night. I was just unable to keep my eyes open.
The plan for today was to catch up on sleep. Sleep good and late. That might have worked if a) There weren't guys working on the railroad tracks, and b) I had remembered to unplug the phone in my room.
The guys working on the tracks are trimming trees and branches. So I have the combined sounds of saws, branches falling, and a warning horn to tell the workers a train is coming. It's all rather annoying and terribly loud. When I finally gave up and got out of bed this morning I noticed they left tree branches all in our backyard. I am not a happy girl.
The phone would not stop ringing because I didn't disconnect the one in my room. It would wake me up, and usually I mumble, "Hello....." and then I hang up before I get a reply. I'm just too tired at that point to be coherent. If I could think at that hour I'd disconnect the phone. But brain so foggy from sleep.....
Oh, but yesterday. Did anyone see that rather strange show, Banzai? It had things like how many balloons does it take to make a chicken fly. And a rabbi, a priest, and the hulk on exercise bikes, keeping the speed above 20mph in a competition for a baby's soul. Very odd show. When it was over I'd felt like I'd been kicked in the head. I'm pretty sure shows aren't supposed to have that effect.
Today I shall try to figure out how to work the timer on my camera. My brother is out on a trip with my dad, so I have no one to laugh at me while I try out silly random poses for the camera. Not having to be embarrassed is a good thing.
