Good news: I got a new sewing machine. It's a singer. There's fewer stitches on this machine than my other one, but I'm given a wider range of control over what I've got. That makes me happy. Also, it is designed to use larger spools of thread. Good for my huge projects. Unfortunately it's a drop bobbin thing, which I have no clue how to use, but I'm sure once I read the instructions a few time I'll be able to figure it out.

Bad news: Uncle Tony died. The funeral is on the 29th. I worry about aunt pat. She'll be moving to pennsylvania to an assistance living community because she has no children and very few living relatives, none of which are young enough to take care of her. She really believed in the whole, "in sickness and in health" vow, and all she's got nothing left for it. Bad things shouldn't happen to nice old ladies.....

Mundane news: I played monopoly with dad and my brother. I lost terribly.

(no subject)

Well now, if I had known mom had somewhere to go today, I would have gotten ready faster. I was under the impression that mom was staying home all day today. I felt no need to hurry myself to get ready since I was under this assumption.

About 10 minutes ago, mom left. She's annoyed at me for taking too long to get ready. How was I supposed to kow she had to go into wrk today? Did she mention it at any point? Nope. She expects her family members to read her mind.

So, dad asked me to go to the movie theater early today to buy tickets for rotk. I was going to go as soon as my hair dried. But mom has just left with the car. Bah!

Let's hope someone comes home soon so I can get these tickets.

But today's boondocks is great.

Finally bought rotk tickets. Movie starts at 7:30. *squeal* Oh my god I'm finally going to see it!!! :)
