Mar. 24th, 2004 10:41 amI've been keeping myself so busy lately. It makes everything sorta blur together.
Let's see.... Monday I did thta class thing that I do every day. Finally presented my thoughts on the Medea Ode that I had to study. And I was actually right on the mark for the whole thing, which is pretty cool for me. Then went food shopping with ben, following him back to his place for a bit. Made him come back with me for a meeting I had only to discover the meeting is NEXT week. (I'm an idiot.) But I took the opportunity to write up an essay I had for class the enxt day. That was a good idea, because I wouldn't have gotten it done otherwise.
I was incredibly tired monday evening, probably because I worked 1-5 that morning. So I sorta passed out and fell asleep pretty early. Makes me feel bad because you know, as someone's girlfriend I should at least be conscious in their presence. But I prefer passing out in the week then on weekends. Yes, cause if I hadn't changed my shifts to monday mornings, I'd be falling asleep early on friday nights. No good at all.
Tuesday was mildly stressful, not just for schoolwork reasons. However, I survived the day! :)
I learned in asian cultures class that there are these societies where the women do EVERYTHING. They are in charge of everything, run all the househlold stuff, do the farming and tending of the animals, raise the kids, every single thing that needs to be done to survive is done by the women. And everything is matrilineal. The men? They're essentially just pets. At the end of the day, they can visit their wives. Otherwise they jsut sit around all day and take up space. I don't think I could live in a society like that. I wouldn't want to be doing all the work! ^^;
Speaking of not doing work, the class afterwards, which I didn't finish the work for, was cancelled.! Taht made me super happy. It also meant I was able to wash the gigantic pile of dishes (Dishes of DOOM) and get a start on my homework. Then when I got to work, I got nearly all my homework done! :)
A few hours later, with a little typing, and I was completely done. And my brain was dead. It actually seemed quite intelligent at that point to make my mashed potatoes blue. I need to find better uses for my food coloring.
So then I went over to rockethouse. I helped ben make dinner and watched him make bread. (It was super good when he was done.) We also watched a bit more of Red Dwarf. I love that show. :)
I REALLY didn't want to go to classes this morning. Really really didn't. But I went like a good girl. And I think I may ahve actually passed a japanese quiz today! :) Yay for having enough time to study!
Normally she gives us the new kanji the night before the quiz. But this time she gave us the weekend. So I actually had time to LEARN them! :) Makes me happy.
However, class now. Poooo, I hate class....... And my tooth hurts again. Must go torture it to make it stop.
