This evening, amanda had an open invitation to watch a movie at her place. Desperate to get out of the house, I quickly announced that I would be coming.

Just getting out of the house was a challenge. My mother, the over-protective freak that she is, made me promise I would be home before midnight. Yes, I'm 21 and I had a midnight curfew....*sigh* Her excuse was that she jsut saw on the news, someone had got shot in their car recently. So, somehow, in her mind that meant I was going to die if I was out of the house after midnight.

Then driving to amanda's house, the entire universe forgot how to drive. Seriously, there was a person who was driving ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!! That was so not cool. VERY not cool.

Nevertheless, I got to amanda's safe and sound and only mildly late. We ordered pizza and sat down to watch Thirteen. Oh, and got attacked by a psycho cat that liked to bite. :P

Thirteen is about a thirteen year old girl who starts hanging out with the wrong crowd in an attempt to become popular. So you know, drinking, sex, drugs, that kind of stuff. I had been told the film would be intense and stuff, but actually it didn't phase me much. The only parts where I had to look away were the piercing scenes. (I don't like needles.) Maybe I've become desensitized or something.

It wasn't even taht good of a film. Putting it on a scale of films I've seen recently, I'd put it between kill bill and van helsing. But the hanging out with amanda part was really cool. I don't get to see her very often.

Go away Mr Sun! You are not my friend!!!!
Yeah, so um, stayed up pretty late last night. I think I went to bed somewhere arounf 5:30. Don't think I fell asleep until after 6. The exhaustion I feel today was worth it though. ^^;

Unfortunately, daddy woke me at 11 to get ready for the festival thingie. I very much didn't want to get up, but I had to or else they would suspect how late I had been up.

I spent what was left of the morning fighting with my mother. She claims that the computer worked perfectly before I came home. She said that all the problems with the comp are my fault. Of course, as soon as I stormed out of the room, my brother informed me that we had these problems already, and that mom is crazy.

But I already knew she was insane.

Daddy took my brother and I down to the festival on main street where I took part in many free drinks. I didn't ahve to buy anything. ^^; Go me! AND I got to see puppies, and people dressed as revolution fighter-types, and a person on stilts! All pretty cool.

Afterwards, daddy drove us to the general store in st james. He bought me some rock candy because he bought my brother cards at the festival and I didn't ask for anything. Mmmmm.....pure sugar......

I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day in my room, avoiding my mother. Bah.
We went to McDonalds today. As we were walking in, I noticed that there was a help wanted sign and yes, I am that desperate. But as I walked in, I realized that I probably didn't want to work there. It's scary when I'm one of the oldest people in the room....

Anyway, after that, I made a trip to walmart to get various craft supplies that I needed for AnimeNext. I'm going to fix up my Pepper wings this week.

For now, I continue working on my pirate shirt. (It's the one in the middle.)All that pieces are starting to come into place. It's so cool. :) It's almost a real shirt! I love sewing!
