I have survived the Father's Day

Mommy made pancakes yesterday. With strawberries! And um, boisonberries? :P I have no clue how to spell that, but I insisted on calling them poisonberries.

Afterwards, we went shopping for a gift for grandpa, and then went to my Aunt Joy's. Grandma and grandpa were there, and aunt joy had made....some food. She has this thing about not wanting to feed guests when she has a party. Isn't that odd? So I skipped straight to dessert, since mom was in charge of bringing that, and there was plenty available.

Down the block was a Thai Festival, so I killed some time by escaping to there. Wasn't very exciting though. It was mostly food, very little of which actually looked/smelled appetizing. (I'm a picky eater.) And there were some craft booths, but they didn't really sell anything I'd be interested in.

There was one cool display of carved fruit art. That was cool. They made fruits and veggies look like real flowers. I was impressed by that.

I just spent half an hour massaging a puppy's belly. Poor Splash doesn't feel too well.

By doing more exercise and snacking on fruit rather than junk food, I have managed to push back the 5 lb weight gain I always have when I return home. Go me! Only ended up gaining 1, and just by a little extra work got it down to half. :)

I seriously need to get better DDR pads. Mine are possessed by the evil.

I went with daddy and kenneth today to the tuxedo store because it is practically right next to the comic shop and I needed to pick up new issues of stuff. While waiting for kenneth to decide on a vest, the guy who works there asked ME what one I liked. I was absolutely clueless as to why I should decide something like that. Then the guy asked what color my dress was. Instant terror and revulsion. The guy working there thought I was my brother's DATE! *gags* I don't think I'm going to be able to hold down food for the rest of the week.
