Good news: It's a lot warmer today than the weather reports predicted.
Bad news: It's raining.

So, do I want to go out in the rain to the cherry blossom festival? I know rain won't hurt me, especially if it's not so cold out. But people around here have a tendency to cancel things at the slightest hint of bad weather. *checks website* Ok, it says it's rain or shine. Now I have to decide for myself if going in the rain is really worth it.

*pouts* I hate virginia. Nothing ever goes right.
I guess it's a good thing I didn't go to the cherry blossom festival today. The shirt I wanted to wear doesn't fit! I was going to wear my ITMFA t-shirt. This is clearly a fascist boob conspiracy because the shirt fit when I made it! Now it's too tight! I am so sad. :(

So, um, is anyone interested in a slightly crooked iron-on t-shirt? It claims to be a medium, but it was REALLY tight on me. Free to a good home.

And if anyone wants to make their own, you're free to use the image I made. Just no selling it or claiming it as your own. ITMFA )

Oh, and are any artsy-type people willing to draw me some illustrations for my gardening book? I'd need some peas, pea pods, vines, and various gardening things. Small illustration stuff, nothing big. Clear enough to be printed. Color or blank and white, I'm happy with either. In exchange, I'll give you full credit for illustrations in the little book I'm going to try to sell, plus I'll include the address to your gallery/commission website. And a copy of the book if you want it. (It's not a fancy big production or anything. It's like 10 pages. I'll be printing it myself. I'm going to try to sell it on etsy.)

If those aren't good arrangements, let and maybe we can work something else out. I'm just tired of dealing with stupid clipart restrictions and stuff for pictures that don't even look very nice. I DON'T like my food with faces on it though, so little cartoony dancing peas need not apply.
Today I taught myself how to make paper. It is a very tiring and messy process. I made 4 sheets of paper so far. I'm not very good at thin sheets though. I guess I'll need more practice. But I'll save that for tomorrow when I'm not as tired. I never realized how much work this was!

I want to use homemade paper for the cover of my peas book. I was going to buy fancy paper until I saw how much it cost. It's like $2 a sheet! So I will learn how to make paper and add my own little bits of fancy plant stuff in it.

At least now I have a use for all those credit card applications I get every day! ^^;
