Mar. 16th, 2007 10:46 amYesterday was a very bad day. Was it because it was the Ides of March?
A form on one of our client's websites went down yesterday. It took me almost the entire day to get it back up. It didn't help that half the time I couldn't reach my boss' cell phone. Bah.
(Funny side note. When I can't reach someone on their phone and I am nervous, I leave messages. A lot of messages. About 1 every 5 minutes. I don't realize I do it until afterwards when the person I called yells at me for the 15 or so messages they had in their voicemail.)
Just before work ended, it started to rain. It went from 70 degrees outside to about 40 and the skies opened up. Not cool.
I guess everyone in virginia forgot what to do in a rainstorm because there was an insane amount of traffic on the way home. And tons of mean people who refused to let me get into the turn lane. At least one person was nice. The world needs more nice people.
The traffic was making people drive crazy. This one guy tried to drive into the side of my car. He needs to go back to school and learn that you LOOK before changing lanes. It was scary. Luckily there was no one in the lane next to me and I was able to make a quick lane change to save the day. Otherwise that would have been a really awful accident.
Ben was sweet when I got home. He made dinner for me twice. (The first one fell on the floor.) I spent the rest of the evening feeling insecure until I exhausted myself and went to bed.
