Adventures!
Jun. 15th, 2007 08:54 amI think I might fall asleep at my desk. :(
So yesterday evening ben was going to pick me up from the metro and
together we'd meet rob and aberdeen and some other people at the
tyson's mall to then go out to eat. The plan would have been perfect
if the roads were not evil. Ben got sad and lost. I ended up meeting
him at a completely different metro stop.
We did eventually get to the mall and then we did eventually go out to
eat. It was a seafood place though. Much sadness. There were 3
non-fish things on the menu: chicken, beef, and spicy noodles. I was
stuck with chicken which wasn't all that great because it's a fish
restaurant, not a chicken restaurant. At least the bread on the table
was good. (And didn't have nasty sweetened butter like all the places
in dc.)
While at the restaurant, we had a surprise encounter with cassandra.
She looked very very shocked.
After dinner, ben and I had to go home because I had to get up at the
crack of dawn to get to work. I had such a hard time waking up. Every
time I tried to get out of bed, I fell back asleep again in
mid-getting up motion. It was sad.
Of course the morning when I had to be at work early, the bus was
running late. But the metro made good time so it all balanced out. I
got to work with plenty of time to meet up with the caterers. They got
there just as the super early meeting was gathering, so it was perfect
timing. Everyone was happy. (Except for me because I had been up since
the crack of dawn.)
The regular early meeting starts soon. I hope there is still food. I
am so hungry. And tired. Maybe food will give me energy. Or maybe it
will make me full and want to crawl under a desk and nap.
