Feb. 13th, 2008

Voting was had last night, despite the frozen rain. I was really nervous
about ben driving last night, but he was very careful and did just fine.

I was surprised by the amount of people at the polling place. Normally when
I go there is little to no wait. I guess I should really plan ahead for
president. That line will probably be a lot worse.

After voting, ben and I went to panera for dinner. It was our reward for
performing our civic duty. I had soup in a bread bowl. I think bread bowls
are brilliant. It was too much food for me though. Ben had to help. (Boys
are so useful like that.)

Then we went home where we watched tv and played video games until bed. I am
playing a game called Jeanne D'Arc. It's loosely based on the Hundred Years
War. Ben got it for me for Christmas cause I really like turn-based strategy
games. (Commanding armies is fun!) I've been doing research on the
characters to find out what their real-life counterparts were like. One was
a pedophile and serial killer! Yet in the game he is one of the knights
chosen by god to save France. I also found out that another character was
Jeanne's bodyguard in real life. So I've been buffing him up in order to
have him play that role in my game. I may change my mind later though. He's
not a very good fighter for most situations.

I went to bed at a decent time but Ben stayed up too late again. I had a
nightmare about mean people bathing.

This morning was a challenge as everything in the world was encased in ice.
Somehow I managed to get to work on time. Very few others did though. It is
quiet this morning. I hope they let us leave early.
