I have decided that the metro hates happiness.

I was running late this morning, but my bus was running later so I didn't
miss it. We sat for an unusually long time at the park and ride when the
driver all of a sudden shut off the bus and got out. We sat there for at
least 15 minutes wondering what was going on.

Eventually some other bus person comes on and tells us our bus was broken
but she has another bus for us. So we all offloaded and got on the new bus.
(At least they were fast about getting a replacement.) Unfortunately the new
bus must have been pulled from a residential route, as it smelled awful and
there was a dirty diaper on one of the seats. Lovely.

To make the trip worse, the fattest man on the bus decided to sit next to
me. (Read: Sit on me.) I kept stabbing him with my knitting needles but he
didn't get the hint at all. I was very unhappy. I feel like these people are
picking me out of the crowd to crush.

I eventually made it to the train station. we were massively late so at
least I didn't have to wait long for a non-crowded train. Only had to let 2
pass by!

About halfway to my station, the train stopped in the tunnel. It stopped
with no power, which meant no lights or ac. Yay for dark crowded spaced full
of smelly people....

Another 15 or so minutes later, we were moving again. I thought we broke
down but actually the train in front of us did. Lovely.

The rest of the trip was stop and go. It was making me motion sick. I was
glad to get off the train until I discovered all the escalators were broken.
At least I don't get off at one of the deeper stops, so it didn't kill me,
but it also wasn't a nice surprise.

I do not want to be at work today.
