Getting to know Sarah Palin

Since I work for Defenders of Wildlife, I'm already familiar with Sarah Palin as the lady who promotes shooting wolves from planes.

I also knew her husband works for an oil company and she supports drilling in ANWR. But that's all I knew. So this morning was an adventure in getting to know her.

(Forgive so many dailykos links. They were convenient in that they had many links on one page. And I am a lazy person.)

1. She's under investigation for abusing her power to get her brother-in-law fired.

2. She's not sure what the VP is supposed to do.

3. In addition to about 2 years experience as governor, she was also mayor to a town in Alaska. The town is still trying to recover from her poor leadership.

4. She's not only anti-choice, but she's also part of the sketchy group, Feminists for Life, who want to not only ban abortion, but birth control as well.

5. On that note, she has said that she would force her daughter to have a rapist's child.

6. She doesn't believe that health and benefits should be provided for gay and lesbian partners. She's also against same-sex marriage.

7. There is good possibility that her youngest son may actually be her grandson. (Glad that abstinence only education is working so well for her family.)

7. She supports teaching creationism in school.

So does anyone remember when one of those crazy fundie groups (maybe focus on the family or something like that) made that video encouraging their followers to pray to god for a flood to prevent obama from making his acceptance speech?

The RNC has been delayed because of hurricane Gustav.
