holytoastr: (melting panda-aurianrose)
- This morning there was a japanese family on the train. I was pleased that I could understand almost everything the child said. (The adults were far beyond me.) I was also pleased that instead of screaming at the top of her lungs (like most other tourist's children), the excited little girl just added "yo" to the end of her sentences.

- Nothing like everyone in the office forgetting a co-worker's last day to make you feel like a bad person. I've at least got a card going around for people to sign. And her friend made her cupcakes. (At least her friend remembered!) So I think everything is under control now.

- Incompetent art company strikes again. Art was due Wednesday and they still can't get it right.

- Ben is cute.

- I am determined to go to the farmer's market this weekend. It is peach season.

- I must start working on my halloween costume soon. Rainbow Brite! Yay!

- Cosplayers! Where do you like to buy wigs these days? I need one with the ponytail already styled in because I am lazy and lack time.

- Cleaning must also be done this weekend. Ben took out the stinky trash. That pleases me.
Everyone is panicking over tropical storm/hurricane (maybe!) hanna that will hit this weekend. We're expected to get 2-4 inches of rain, so a state of emergency has been called. We may lose power though to 30-50 mph winds. We lose power in any particularly windy storm.

There is also a storm out there called ike that weather people still can't clearly predict the path of. It'll either go north and hit us or west and hit new orleans. I hope it goes north. I'd rather lose power than have all my friends worrying and evacuating again.
