(no subject)

The other night I dreamed that I had cheated on ben. I spent all day yesterday apologizing to him and feeling really really horrible. At least now ben knows I'd never cheat on him in real life. I can't even handle the guilt of my dream life.

Last night I dreamed I was turning into a flywoman. I cured myself by buying myself a new bikini with skulls and crossbones on it. It was embarrassing to try on though because the dressing rooms had no doors and I hadn't shaved my legs recently.

Book: The Patchwork Girl of Oz

Just finished The Patchwork Girl of Oz, which according to wiki is the 7th book in the series. After a handful of really weird ones, this story goes back to the more traditional quest style that began the series. That's probably why I enjoyed it.

This story is about Ojo the Unlucky who has to go on a quest for a series of magical items to save his uncle who has been accidentally turned to stone. He's helped by the patchwork girl, Scraps, who he accidentally gave too much brains before she was brought to life.

I think my favorite character was Bungle the glass cat. He had pink brains (You could see them work.) He was obnoxious but funny.

Scraps terrified me a little. I don't think her brains were all mixed together properly so she often had brief moments of insanity. I have images in my head of her going temporarily insane and slaughtering Ozma and Dorothy while dancing and reciting one of her crazy rhymes.

The next book in the series is Tik-Tok of Oz, which I start reading tomorrow.
