Culinary Adventures
Feb. 10th, 2010 07:00 pmToday was a day of culinary adventures. Mostly because I wanted to use things up.
For example, I had half a bag of grapes in the fridge. They weren't bad, but they were soft. I won't eat soft grapes, but I didn't want them to go to waste. So I made grape sorbet! It came out sweet and tasty! The mixture is in the freezer now hardening.
I also made asparagus puffs to use up puff pastry dough. Pieces of asparagus rolled in parmasan cheese, rolled in puff pastry dough. It was tasty, but I think it was too much pastry not enough asparagus.
And I have wheat bread in the bread machine right now. Not to use anything up, but because the last loaf was really good but much too small. I am making a slightly bigger one this time. Hopefully that means it will last longer.
