Feb. 20th, 2010 07:36 pmMy car had been making a horrible knocking noise so I brought it in to get fixed. They said the tire belt was broken, probably from hitting a big pot hole, and would need to be replaced. So I got a new tire today and everything is better. They wanted to replace all the tires because they are getting old, but it wasn't urgent so I think I'm going to shop around.
After the car was fixed, ben and I went to the mall because today is free pretzel day. You know what that means, right? We managed to go to the one mall in the area that didn't have that pretzel kiosk. I didn't even think to check! I thought they were standard for a mall, like having a claires or a spensers gifts.
I was disappointed so ben bought me a pretzel instead. It was tasty and buttery.
While walking around and eating our pretzels, I noticed a card store was going out of business and all the cards were 90% off. And I so happened to have plans to buy a card today! Granted, there wasn't much left, but I found a decent one. I got it for 27 cents! Woo! That kinda made up for the lack of free pretzel.
The disney store was also closing, but today was their last day so they were almost empty. Just stitch plushies and the mean dog from up. Nothing to excite me.
On the drive home, we stopped for smoothies. After that buttery salty pretzel, a smoothie was perfect. Mine was particularly thick this time too. Mmmmm.
Then we took a nap because ben has to work tonight. I should start making dinner soon for when he wakes up. I'm up already so he shouldn't be asleep much longer either.
