Made this recipe up on my own and don't want to forget the ingredients before I have a chance to write the recipe down in my notebook.

1 cup whole milk
2 cups heavy cream
3 chai tea bags
3/4 cup sugar
pinch of salt
5 egg yolks
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

It was a delicious success. I brought it in to work and was told it tasted like christmas.
Yesterday afternoon my boss called me into his office. My heart dropped. I thought it was finally the moment where he was going to fire me.

Instead he gave me a survey packet and told me he didn't have time to attend a benchmarking session and would I mind going in his place. *whew*

Looks like the clock to midnight rolled back a minute or so. Maybe firing me is less of a priority. I hope it's because they realized I'm pretty useful.

Still plan on finding a new job though. It's nice to have more job security than I thought I had, but I still have absolutely no confidence in the management these days.

The benchmarking session is going to be filled with other non-profit marketing people. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to network and get my name around. I'm going to treat it like a pre-interview. So until the session (which is wednesday), I'm going to really research the topic and come up with good questions and talking points. That way I can come across as knowledgeable and intelligent. (And awesome, of course!)
