Busy morning.

I woke up early to get to a doctors appointment I had scheduled. On the way there, I saw a group of union civil war soldiers marching along rt 7 towards leesburg.

Then my gps decided today would be an excellent day to go insane. It told me I had arrived at my destination, so I went into the building. The doctors office was in a different suite than I had written down, but I thought maybe something hadn't been updated correctly so I went with it. The very nice receptionist was super confused why she couldn't find me on her schedule. I double checked the address and sure enough, I was at the wrong office.

So back in the car, gps attempt #2. Took me to a totally different office complex. And AGAIN the wrong office. This time at least I double checked the name of the doctor office before walking in like I had an appointment.

On to gps attempt #3, which took me to yet another office complex. But luckily this was the right one and I was only 5 minutes late. *sigh* I was 20 minutes early at the FIRST place.

Luckily this office also had a nice receptionist who wasn't angry that I was late. I told her how my gps sent me all over the place.

The appointment was fairly uneventful, which is good. Peed in a cup, got blood drawn, given booster shots. Also asked the doctor about my bad shoulder. She took a look and told me the good news was that my shoulder was fine. The bad news was that the muscle alongside my shoulder was all messed up. She said she was fairly certain it was my scoliosis causing the pain. She gave me a small prescription of muscle relaxants for temporary pain relief plus a prescription for physical therapy. I was given a list of places to choose from, so I need to research where I want to go and make the appointment.

Then she sent me across the street to a radiology lab to get x-rays of my spine. That place was first come first served, but the wait wasn't too bad. And x-rays took no time at all. It took me longer to get in and out of the very stylish medical gown than it did to take my bone pictures.

When all of that was finally over, I stopped at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. They said it would take 20-30 minutes to be ready so I walked a few blocks down to a farmers market I noticed on the way there. All the vendors there gave me free stuff to munch on when they noticed I had blood drawn. That was really nice of them. And the food was all really tasty. Too bad I didn't have much extra cash on me to buy anything. It was a really nice market though with lots of variety. Maybe I'll come back another day when I have money.

And now I am home! And tired! I inhaled a salad as soon as I walked through the doors. I think I'll play with maggie for a bit (she's soooooooo bored!) and then I'll start researching that list of physical therapists they gave me.
