Ben and I did research on taking the train for some of the upcoming vacations I had in mind.

It's actually cheaper to train to new orleans than it is to fly! Isn't that weird?

And taking the train to florida is only slightly more expensive than flying. The florida train travels at night, so what I lose in money I make up for in good use of time. I could sleep through most of the ride and wake up ready for fun vacationing! (Instead of feeling tired and abused after waking up at 5am to catch a flight, being stripped and groped, crammed into a tiny box, etc.)

Other pros to taking the train:
- Up to 3 free suitcases per person and 2 carry ons
- No naked scanners or gov't sponsored gropings
- More legroom
- Wifi on certain trains

Cons
- Slow
- Often delayed
- Limited rental car options from the train station

pshh. you don't need a car in new orleans.

That's true.

Though it's impossible to get around without a car in Florida.
