Otakon!

Registered for Otakon. You should too so I won't be lonely.

I plan to only go Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I'll be in the Hall Cosplay contest and Fashion show. I will wear Dorothy. (Note to self: Get her out of the costume box so she can breath.) On Sunday, I shall wander around the dealers room for deals.

I'm going to drive each day, which is cheaper than a hotel I think. Cassandra is coming too. Room for three more in the car. :P

If I can obtain feathers and a wig before Otakon, I may cosplay as Claire on Sunday. If I LOSE MY MIND!!!!

Hmmm, I hope I can afford this....

i hope i'm going, I'm gonna register anyhow...I mean I'll have my vacay PLUS money PLUS kyle so I should go. driving down would be cheaper (if I didn't get lost every other mile or so) so i'm concerned as to how we'll get there (by plane? bleh too expensive. train too uncomfy...plus a hotel room...plus kyle sucks at driving too...)

It's actually insanely easy to drive to Baltimore. I could do it in my sleep. Just take the NJ Turnpike South until it turns into 295 South. Stay on that until 95 South, which goes straight to Baltimore! :) So if you do drive, no worries about getting lost. It's insanely straightforward.

Thankies. I'd love to say I know if I'm going this year but they STILL haven't shown who their guests are... that'd be my main reasoning between going or not going, really good guests. Slowest guest updates,... EVER.

I've never actually cared about anime guests. I'm so bad. ^^; I actually like sci-fi cons a billion times better, but they are few and far between. I will have fun anyway! For this is Operation: Make So Friends Already!* And I get to cosplay. Wheeeee!

The guest they have up are the ones I can care less about... I'd go to a large con mostly because the Japanese guests are great like Ikuhara or a load of amazing seiyuu or mangaka.

Bruce Campbell went to A-kon a few times way back in the day... apparently anime cons really limit their sci-fi/non-anime guest more than they used to.

I would never expect anime cons to have sci-fi/non-anime guests. :P That would be like going into a vegetarian restaurant and demanding to know why there are no real hamburgers or something. ^^;

But since I don't care who the guests are at anime cons, it makes it easier to decide whether I want to go or not.

Though, if a con ever had The Pillows or Takeuchi Naoko, I would definitely go! ^^;
