holytoastrI fail at life again.
I tried to go to the post office today. On the way, someone tried to run me off the road. I was looking for the post office and I guess I wasn't going fast enough or something. *sigh*
Then, all frazzled already, I missed the turn. It would have helped if they had put up some clear signs or something. I didn't even notice the post office was there until I was blowing by it.
I turned around to try again, but once again missed the post office. I probably could have made it but there was a guy thisclose behind my car. If I had quickly stopped to turn into the parking lot, the guy would have been thcloseis.
At that point, all hope was lost due to traffic. There was no way I was going to be able to turn around again without a lot of dangerous maneuvering. So I gave up and went home.
Ben and I took a short nap, so I would calm down. Then we watched the final half of House of Flying Daggers. I am upset that I was tricked into watching a romance by putting "daggers" in the title of the film. It is sneaky. That being said, I wish there was more of the rebels-against-the-government plot and less sex in open fields.
Also, the movie was very confusing for me because I have a very hard time telling asian men apart. (I guess I don't see enough of them to properly learn to discern facial characteristics.) So for part of the film, I thought the two guys were the same guy. Then, I couldn't keep them separate later when they were in the same scene.
I sat next to ben while he played warcraft until it was time to take him to work. My dog was VERY excited about the car trip. More-so than usual.
Once ben was safely at work, I tried once again to mail jenny's packages. I knew at the post office by ben's office, they have a post-o-tron machine. It lets you measure and print out your own postage, so you can mail stuff any time you want, rather than trying to get to the post office on time. However, the post-o-tron was broken!
It's like I was not destined to mail these envelopes. :(
