I don't know why I'm so tired today. I can barely focus. During lunch, I bit my tongue so hard I started to cry. I was too tired to remember how to chew properly.

I keep making stupid typing mistakes all over the place. I need a nap. But no nap for me. I have work. And then ben is going to help me clean the kitchen when I get home. That way I'll have a perfect birthday. I asked him to give me a clean apartment, play ddr with me, and take me out to dinner. I must remember to find something nice to wear tomorrow. That is key. Must look presentable when starting another trip around the sun.

Should I bake myself a cake?

It's your birthday! You'd do it for his! What makes you think he'd think this was "unreasonable"? Would you, if it was his birthday?

Cake is a staple of the American birthday. It just is. If you think he's not going to bake you one, and you really want one, and you think it would be "unreasonable" to ask him, then yes. Go ahead and bake yourself a cake.

We actually discussed various cake options, but I think it would be sad if we had to eat a whole cake just the two of us. Last year we had many friends living nearby to help - this year, not so many and not so nearby.

That did occur to me.

I thought, perhaps, cupcakes. That would only require 1 box of cake mix (or half your cake recipe-if I recall correctly, you guys do everything from scratch) and therefore it would be only half as much to eat, and if you didn't want to eat them all, you guys could bring leftovers to work or something.

(That's what the people at my job do-whenever there's a tasty leftover dessert they bring it in to the kitchen at work and let whoever wants it take some. It's not too bad of an idea.)

That is-of course-if you really want cake. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood.
Other times, chocolate frosting is just too good to pass up.

order dessert instead with dinner! Unless you want to bake a cake- sometimes that makes me really happy :) So, if so, do that! :)
