My mother is playing her stupid little games again.

Ben and I got pushed into going to Orlando with her and some of my other family. We're flying down Friday night and flying back up Sunday afternoon. That gives us one day to do stuff.

Today my mom asked if we wanted to spend half a day at universal studios. I explained we couldn't because it's just too expensive for only half a day. Now she's getting really pushy, almost demanding ben and I go to universal.

She just doesn't understand "NO!" Ben and I cannot afford over $120 to spend a few hours at an amusement park. And plus, we risk missing our flight if we lose track of time and things like that. It's just not worth it.

I'm pretty sure she's trying to force us to go because she doesn't want to two of us alone at the townhouse. Like we're never alone in Virginia and were never alone in New Orleans... She's so unreasonable.

I'm putting my foot down on this. She has to understand that I am adult and have my own expenses. I can't just throw away money like that. As it is, a trip to florida sorta stretches my budget.

im surprised they are so uptight about it honestly.......its not like your parents have ever been super religious or anything

My mother started getting religious around the time I went to college. I don't know, the crazy chip in her head must have started up or something. She still doesn't go to church or anything unless it's a mass dedicated to someone she knows, but she's become very big on catholic morals.
