holytoastrI was so grumpy today, I forgot to mention that today is veggie day!
I forgot to bring my veggie bag with me, so I had to stop home to pick it up. I decided to take noname with me since she's been pretty lonely lately and hasn't gone on any car rides since ben has been gone. It meant I couldn't stop at the comic book store, but I can always do taht next week.
This week we got sweet corn, leeks, sweet peppers, hot peppers, potatoes, garlic, basil, tomatoes, and thyme. I feel victorious. No cute cherry tomatoes this week though. That's a shame. They were super super tasty.
Noname cried the whole time. I couldn't take her out of the car because she'd bother everyone and try to eat anything that was dropped. So I left all the windows open for her (It was a cool day so no worries about puppy overheating) and promised I'd be right back. She just looked at me the whole time and cried and cried and cried. I'm sure everyone was thinking I was a terrible pet owner. But this is the dog that cries if I leave her to go to the bathroom. She's the biggest baby ever!
So I tried to gather my veggies as fast as I could so I could return to my spoiled little dog. Now I must think of exciting things to cook with the stuff I have. (Minus the peppers which I hate. Ben can eat those.)
