Ben comes home tomorrow! *happy dance* I miss him so much!!!

He called me really really late last night, but that was fine because I wasn't asleep yet. I guess I was anticipating his call too much to sleep.

He talked to me for a long time and let me complain about how stupid everything was yesterday. He's a good boyfriend.

I hope ben doesn't have any problems with the airport tomorrow. The security measures are so stupid. They're just for show! You know how I know? Because they are putting everyone's drinks, toothpaste, makeup, etc in ONE garbage pail.

If the plan was to combine two liquids, causing them to react and explode, WHY ARE YOU PUTTING EVERY LIQUID YOU FIND IN THE SAME CONTAINER!?

Because it's all to make people scared and make them feel like the government is protecting them. Just like checking someone's ID. If any college student can get a fake ID to get into bars, how hard is it to get one for flying?

None of this is for your safety. It's just to control you and shape your emotions. *hrmph* Now I'm all grumpy again like I was yesterday.

I'll just think about ben returning. That's a good happy thought.

Coming from england, it seems like a more genuine event. However, that doesn't stop our government from completely exploiting it.

Really, the only flights that should have been on any sort of alert should have been international flights between here and europe. And even then, the plan was stopped so it should not have been some an extreme fiasco where they don't allow any carryons. (No book on a transatlantic flight? Such doom!) AND if they're going to confiscate liquids under the excuse that it's a reasonable threat, you don't pour them all into one container!

Domestic flights shouldn't have been affected. Honestly, any intelligent person knows that if someone wants to bring something dangerous on a plane, they will. Our government is just exploiting a bad situation again. (After all, it is an election year and it looks like anti-war democrats may take congress.) And people are such scared sheep that they let it happen. No one questions anything.

Sorry, ranting. I'll stop. :P
