holytoastr | (no subject)

Ben called me right after work yesterday and we talked all evening. I can only imagine what my cell phone bill is going to be this month. :P

It made me really happy that ben called though. I can't even remember what we talked about. I just remember being happy. I had to keep switching phones because the batteries were low. It's a good thing we have two. I wish we had a wall phone though. Those don't run out.

Around 11ish, I started to fall asleep on the phone. :( Ben kept asking me if I was asleep, which would wake me and I'd lie and say I was awake. Eventually ben said that I needed to go to bed, and by that time I was tired enough to agree. As soon as he hung up, I dropped the phone on the floor and passed out.

I dreamed I was at a school for high class gentlemen and ladies. The uniforms looked just like the ones in Host Club. I was taking a really hard test and was having a hard time on the last answer. I still handn't written anything down for it when the teaching assistant said time was up. I quickly wrote a few words down before I had to hand in the test. I was upset because she never told us 5 minutes left or anything like that. So I wrote an angry letter to the teacher letting her know what happened. Then I ran to find ben and cry to him. For some reason he was really tall. I could only rest my head on his chest. I didn't like that at all.

Then my dog stuck a cold wet nose in my face because it was time for breakfast. She needs to learn what weekends are.

Ben called around 11 from the airport. He said that there were actually very few crowds. I'm glad he didn't have a hard time.

After a bit, he let me go run errands for the day. Finally got my dog's license. Then went to the food store for dinner ingredients. I am pleased that by this point, when I buy ingredients for a recipe, I only need the fresh things. No spices or oils or anything.

I ran into one of the anime people in the food store. It was kinda surprising. He said hi and asked where some stuff is (he just moved to my town) and then went on his way. I'm afraid I wasn't very helpful. I don't really go out and explore much to know where stuff is. Gas is too expensive!

Now there is chicken in the fridge marinating. I'm making chicken and broccoli for dinner tonight. I substituted the sugar with honey to see how that would taste. I've found that honey takes some of the salt bite out of soy sauce in my stir fry, so I thought it would be worth a try.

Also, in my quest to find something to replace milk, I am trying rice milk this week. I didn't like soy milk because of the smell. I'm not sure I like rice milk either. It has a weird thin texture to it. I wish there was a good, inexpensive replacement for milk. :(
