Aug. 25th, 2006 10:50 pmMy dog woke me up from a nap with sad sad crying. The tags on her collar had caught into her blanket and when she tried to wiggle free, she had twisted to collar tighter and tighter around her neck. She could barely breathe!
I'm really glad I woke up. She might have passed out if she had struggled any longer. The collar was almost tight enough to break skin. I'm surprised she could even get enough air through to cry.
Once she was free I brought her to bed with me and I hugged her and kissed her. She looked like she really needed the comfort. She fell asleep in my arms, probably from exhaustion, until my nap was officially over. My poor baby. She was probably so scared.
I don't want her wearing that collar anymore. I know she's supposed to wear it, but I'd rather get a fine for her not wearing it than have her suffocate and die.
