I finally found time to fill my tires today. I really should have done that sooner. T_T
Three of the tires were 8-10lbs too low. The only decent one was the one I had a flat on. That was 3lbs low. No one should ever follow my example when it comes to car care.

Date: 2007-02-20 11:16 pm (UTC)To check the pressure on your tires, you remove the caps and press a tire gauge into the valve. It'll tell you a number. Then check the sticker next to the driver's side seat (you need to open the door to see it) to see if the tire gauge number matches the sticker number. The difference is how many pounds of air you need in that tire. Oh, and you do this all before you get to the gas station cause you want to check the tires cold. When you drive the air warms up and messes up the numbers.
Then you put the caps back on the tires and drive to a gas station with an air machine. Lots of places make you pay for air now which makes me angry. Take the caps back off and put the end of the air tube on the valves. The machine will ding or click or make some sort of noise for every pound of air that goes into the tires. Stop when you've put the right amount in. (The difference you measured before you left.)
eHow can explain it too, if I'm confusing.
It's good to keep the tires full because you'll get better mileage. (http://www.ehow.com/how_112746_check-tire-pressure.html)
