Renaissance-woman
Jul. 15th, 2007 12:46 amFall classes I am considering at the community center:
- Tae Kwon Do: Advanced ($40)
- Fencing ($50 +$30 equipment fee)
- ARC Pet Preparedness Workshop (Free)
- Beginning Wheel ($90)
- Ballroom Dance ($50)
- Stained Glass ($60 +$30 supply fee)
- AHA CPR ($60)
I'm also thinking about asking about classes at the ballet school next to the community center.
And I am tempted to take some hard education (history, science, language, etc) classes at a local community college.
Why does knowing stuff have to be so expensive? Clearly I can't take all of these. I'll probably just take tae kwon do, beginning wheel, and the pet workshop.
I want to know everything, which makes my life very difficult. (And expensive.) My ideal is the renaissance man. (A polymath, for those who remember their SAT vocab.) I guess that ideal is sorta antiquated nowadays with everyone being so specialized. Maybe that's why everyone else succeeds while I'm still trailing behind. I guess it's not a very good ideal. Oh well. It keeps me busy at least.
