List of things
Aug. 27th, 2007 12:34 pm- Yesterday, for no reason at all, I passed out asleep on the couch. It was
the middle of the day and I hadn't done anything particularly exhausting.
Very odd. It made my dog happy though. She cuddled with me.
- My bird has quickly gone from adorably affectionate to annoyingly needy.
She has taken after my dog and now cries when I leave her behind to go to
the bathroom. As soon as I return, she leaps up and flies to my shoulder.
She usually misses and lands on my head.
- The apartment smells. I did not clean nearly enough this weekend.
- I did, however, triumph over a childhood trauma. Go me!
- Ben and I started watching Song of the South last night. I am surprised
ben did not try to hang himself. I am also surprised by my naivety as a
child. The first time I watched this movie, I had NO CLUE that the blacks
were all slaves. I honestly thought Uncle Remus was a family friend in the
neighborhood. Uncle meant they were close, right? I had aunts and uncles and
grandparents growing up that weren't related to me. The slaves are obvious
to me now, but as a kid, no concept at all.
- I have Zip A Dee Doo Dah stuck in my head.
- Ben's definition of "soon" and my definition are drastically different. I
must remember this for the future.
