It hurts them if they thought they were faithful Catholics and needed emotional support after all the crap they've been through (especially the mother), for a lot of religious people their church is a huge support network in their lives and that's just been yanked away. But on the other hand, I suppose if the church is going to condemn her for saving her daughter's life maybe she will feel better off kicked out anyway. *sigh*
I guess that's true, sadly. The whole thing is really frustrating me, on the one hand religions should be allowed to follow their beliefs... on the other, this really really makes me angry. When I see religions doing more harm than good I wish governments would take off the PC gloves but... then they get called on religious discrimination. I really do think a lot of the Catholic Church's stances, policies, and actions are just... evil, but I don't necessarily think the same of the average Catholic churchgoer.
