holytoastrThe ugly cucumber and the cherry tomatoes were delicious. I had them with dinner last night. It made me a little sad though, because I had ambitious plans of fresh salad all summer from my garden.
As it is now, there are plenty of cucumber blossoms but no cucumbers growing. And there are several handfuls of green tomatoes ever so slowly ripening on the vine. In a couple days I should have enough again to garnish a salad. None of the lettuce survived.
One day when I have a house, I will have a vast garden. And it will be delicious. Until then I have to settle for what I can manage.
