Daddy made us take down the christmas tree! *sniffle* I guess christmas is officially over.

While removing the ornaments, I dropped one. I felt terrible. Mom and dad reassured me that it wasn't an important one, but they could just be saying that to make me feel better. I wish I wasn't such a klutz....

While taking down the tree, I was watching this awful movie about a guy who gets stranded on an island for 4 years. It was pretty popular when it came out, but I can't see how. I didn't find it interesting at all. I would have changed the channel if daddy had let me.

Oh, on a random note I forgot to mention! On saturday I got a letter from kelly! Wheee! So shiny! :)

Today I MUST get working on kelly's pants. No more delays for me. Just cut and stitch and hem. SO SIMPLE. ^^; I'm such a lazy person.

Also, I was reading through the knitting book I bought and it suggests I get a size 8 needle. THEN the first pattern requires a size 12 needle. The NEXT pattern needs a size 10 needle! It's a conspiracy! They want me to go broke buying a million trillion needles!

I'm going to poke around in craft stores to see if I can find them cheap. Because otherwise I can't afford all these needles and yarn and whatnot.

I've decided I like embroidery. Very much so. It's so inexpensive. The needles cost almost nothing. The stores practically give the thread away. I already have a hoop. You can draw your own patterns. And you can embroider on any towel or clothing that happens to be within arms reach. It's nice. :D

I hope I get better at embroidery soon. I finished the pirte flag, which looks a little sad. The pirate lady came out rather good though. And the treasure chest is looking fine. Not enough of the bottle of rum is done yet to decide on taht one, though.

So yes. Today I won't get distracted and I'll finish those pants and be free of them. Then I am able to make anything I want with relatively little guilt. (There's still jenn's skirt I ahven't done, but she won't give me her measurements. I may have to assult her one day with a measuring tape....)

The Chinese New Year is on January 22nd. It will be the year of the monkey. I think we should have a new years party! Who wants to help!? :)

The sun has thwarted me once again and I am forced to stop sewing because I cannot iron. I think for dad's birthday I'm going to get him a lamp for that room.

The pattern on the added fabric worries me a little. The flowers on it go up and down, but on the portion I wam sewing, most of the appear to go down. It looks a little like I sewed it in upside down. But it's really not. I'll look at it again tomorrow. Perhaps my perspective will ahve changed. I hope so.

Earlier this evening the family all went out to Macy's to return the pants mom bought me and to generally wander around the wall. As we left the house, I declared us to be the fellowship of the pants! That, my friends, is because I am a freak. My family did not want to play along.

So as we got to the mall, I reminded everyone that I was the pants bearer and that we had an important mission to fulfill. They smiled and nodded at me. We got to the door only to find it was locked! Closed for inventory! Can you believe that?!

As we were the fellowship, and because no one was playing along, I had to do all the parts. I played out the scenes leading up to Moria, with my family carefully ignoring every word I said. Then, as we drove away, I muttered "The fellowship has failed. All is lost...."

My brother blinked, and then turned to look at the falling snow. (Snow obviously caused by Saruman! To force us into the mines!)

So um, yeah, the point of this story is I have no pants and it was snowing today.
