Driving passed all the food restaurants in Herndon appears to be too much of a temptation for ben. Last evening, we stopped at a stoplight in front of Five Guys, which is a burger place. Ben spontaneously decided we must try it out.

The burgers were so huge. Now I know why they were so expensive. There were two layers of meat on the things. Faaar too much for me. And oh my god the fries. We will never run out of fries. Ever. Despite that, I don't think ben was full. As I was eating my burger, he was looking at it a bit. I asked if he wanted it, and he quickly took it away. :P Silly boy.

It's ok though. I was full. And sleepy. And sick. I sorta napped on the couch a bit.

Ben woke me up to tell me he was going to bed early. He must have been really tired. I had to walk my dog first, and then was too awake. But I tried to sleep anyway. That meant at midnight I was up and about and couldn't sleep at all.

I had a snack and a drink and played with the internet a bit and finally slept. But then had a nightmare about getting lost in a bad part of town. It made me sad but ben hugged me and cheered me up and told me he would protect me and good stuff like that.

After I took him to work, I walked my dog. The stupid animal tried to chase a squirrel, but the squirrel ran around the other side of the tree. Didn't climb it or anything, just went around the other side. My dog had no clue where it was and was going insane barking at the tree.

Eventually she saw the squirrel, and it ran up the tree. Poor stupid noname.
I had to spend the morning sorting my links. I realized it was a big game of good news/bad news.

Good news: Elections sided on the Democratic. (Note: I actually dislike the democratic party. But I fear the republican party more.) In Virginia, Kilgore (R) was beat by Kaine (D) by about 6%. When Bush beat Kerry by 3%, it was declared a major victory by republicans. So does this 6% change the world or something?

Bad news: Bush is still president, republicans are still in power, and nothing really has changed. Oh, and the White House plans on playing games again to make people support the war.

Good news: In Maine, Question 1 which would have allowed discrimination against gays failed. "Mainers don’t like discrimination. ... If it happens to one person, it happens to all of us."

Bad news: Following the tradition of bigotry and hate, Texans voted to ban gay marriage. That makes it the 19th state to do so. The NINETEENTH!

Good news: Remember those school board members pushing for intelligent design in Pennsylvania? Voters removed 8 out of 9 of them. (One was not up for reelection.)

Bad news: Kansas opens the door to intelligent design in the classroom. The definition of "science" was redefined, to allow supernatural explanations to be used to explain the world.
And the dreaded last hour of work. *sigh* I wish I hadn't eaten that pie. I'm bored and alllll full of sugar.

Unsure of the legitimacy of the source but, Bush Borrowed More Than All Previous Presidents Combined
President Bush and the current administration have borrowed more money from foreign governments and banks than the previous 42 presidents combined, a group of conservative to moderate Democrats said Friday.

Did we ask for an exemption?
Q I'd like you to clear up, once and for all, the ambiguity about torture. Can we get a straight answer? The President says we don't do torture, but Cheney --

MR. McCLELLAN: That's about as straight as it can be.

Better off without Him
Are religious societies better than secular ones? It should be an easy question for athiests to answer. Most of those now seeking to blow people up – whether with tanks and missiles or rucksacks and passenger planes – do so in the name of God.
