Apr. 29th, 2006 07:58 amBen and I figured out why my root canal tooth was hurting so much. With my mouth open all the time to avoid biting my wisdom tooth, cold air was coming into my mouth. And the whole area of my root canal tooth is sensitive to cold! So now I'm trying to keep my teeth apart but my lips closed. I hope that will help. But with my mouth closed, I clench my teeth more often without realizing it. And that's bad for all my teeth. So I really need to pay attention to what I'm doing.
The wisdom tooth is getting better, I think. The only part that hurts now is the side rubbing against my cheek. I'm thinking of maybe putting a cotton ball soaked in numb stuff there to keep the tooth and cheek from rubbing together. Then maybe they will heal and this awful pain will go away.
