Oh! So I forgot to mention yesterday that I also tried on bathing suits. I figured I'd start looking now and hopefully find something I like before I go to florida.

I haven't bought a bathing suit in about 10 years. Scary!

I actually dared to try on a bikini (It doesn't hurt to try as long as it's just you in the dressing room, right?) and was surprised that I didn't look all that terrible. I found one I liked, but the colors didn't really work with my super pale skin. It fit well though.

I'll just keep looking. Maybe I'll go today once I confirm ben doesn't need the car. (Oooh, if I try the mall, I can get bubble tea too! Yay!)
Ben and I have finally found a show that we both like watching together. Hopefully he won't get burned out again like Doctor Who. It's so hard to find something we both like that I end up accidentally forcing too much of it on ben and killing it for him.

So anyway, we're watching a show called jericho which, according to the internet, is perpetually about to be cancelled. It's about the end of the world and what happens after. I really enjoy end of the world stories so I have no clue how I missed this one when it first started airing.

It reminds me a lot of a book I read once but can't remember the name. The book was about a small community in florida surviving after bombs take out all the major cities and military bases in the US. Jericho is the same, but set in kansas. They're following the same sort of situations but it's interesting to see how the end of the world looks through the eyes of the cold war era vs the modern era.

[EDIT] The book was "Alas, Babylon" by Pat Frank.
