(no subject)

- Tried to wax my legs last night. Very sore now.

- Mom sent me candy with my knee pads. Yay!

- With $4 gas, the buses and trains are more crowded than normal. In
addition, a train broke down this morning causing major delays. I let 4
trains pass before there was enough room for me to board. Not cool.

- Looks like obama will be the democratic candidate. That pleases me. I
think he is the best candidate for the job. Clinton still thinks she has a
chance though, which is kinda annoying. I don't think I'll stop hearing the
bad feminist line until she's officially out.

- Tomorrow is the All Staff Picnic which means no work. Yay!

- My dog is really cute.

The skies turned black, rain is falling in sheets, thunder is booming, and
there is a tornado warning.

Lucky me

Metrorail is currently experiencing a service disruption at East Falls
Church station.
*Disruption details*: Due to a power problem outside of East Falls Church,
trains will terminate at the station. Shuttle bus service has been
established. Expect delays in both directions.

I got on the train expecting pure doom. I grew more pessimistic when my coworker mentioned there were only 2 buses taking people from East Falls to West Falls.

The train was cramped and frequently stopped. We finally reached East Falls and were forced to offload. I could see over the wall, the line for the buses looped around and around the parking lot. And the line to even get out there was impossibly long.

While trying to navigate the crowd, someone announced that trains were back in service to west falls. Victory!

I dashed back on the train and slowly made my way to my train station. And lucky me, my bus was still there too! I ran to catch one of the last spots. Yay!

I'm so glad I wasn't stuck at east falls. Some people actually walked to west falls rather than wait for one of the buses.
