Jun. 22nd, 2008 10:45 amYesterday ben and I went to baltimore to see rob and dani's new apartment. It's very nice but too close to the ghetto. (More on that later.)
We got lost on the way which made us about an hour late. The turn to their neighborhood is kinda hard to catch. But eventually we did find it and all was good.
They've got a whole little house to themselves, complete with a cute little yard, a balcony, and a secret basement dungeon. I was very impressed.
We brought my dog along to play with their cat. At first the cat was scared of my dog, but eventually they got used to each other. And noname had fun exploring a new place.
It was a gaming night so everyone else set up laptops in the living room to play. I played Apollo Justice for a little bit, but then wisely took a nap.
We stayed until around 2ish, when we realized we had an hour's drive to get home. So we got in the car and ben tried to fire up the gps on his blackberry. (The same treacherous one that got us lost on the way here.)
It wouldn't link up! We couldn't get directions!!! And then I got lost!
I ended up driving through the ghetto for an hour last night, extremely lost. I was completely panicking. It was seriously NOT COOL! I was shaking in my seat, and every time I got stuck at a light I thought I'd be sick. I'm pretty pathetic.
Eventually we did get close enough to downtown baltimore to find a major highway. It was going north when we need to go south, but I took it anyway because it was going in a more important direction - away from the ghetto.
We got home a little after 4. I was so tired by that point (despite my nap) that I fell down while changing.
I think I'll do some more sleeping now.
