(no subject)

There were massive delays on the metro last night. It was annoying. I ended up accidentally falling asleep while waiting, and nearly missed my stop when we finally started moving again. Oh no!

I got off the train just as the doors were about to crush me.

Unfortunately I missed my bus. Ben was sweet and picked me up from the park and ride, so I didn't have to wait in the rain for the next bus that goes by our apt.

When we got home, we cleaned a bit so as to not look like slobs. One of the apts in our building has roaches, so we're all getting sprayed as a preventative measure. We didn't want them to blame us for the roaches. We're pretty lucky in that even though we're messy, we don't have bugs. (Other than the occasional fruit fly infestation.)

Then ben ate lobster with noname. She is a spoiled dog. She accidentally also got her paws on a piece of lobster shell, but gave it up without a fight so she also got a cookie last night.

Plans for this weekend: Car inspection and matzoh ball soup!

DIRECT MAIL APOCALYPSE!!!

The person in charge of Renewals is leaving in January. In the mean time, she's moving to our customer service dept immediately. So we have no one to cover renewals because all the production managers already have way too much to do already.

So now it's my job. In addition to my regular job and the C4 program. DOOM!

I did tell my boss there are not enough hours in the day for me to do all that, but I'd be happy to pick it up if I could get rid of something else. So a whole bunch of things are now on hold and all the contract stuff that I hated anyway is going to our CFC person who has lots of free time during the holiday season anyway.

Although I'm worried about all this stuff to do, I am delighted to have a good reason to tell the production director to leave me alone. She always asks me to do things her coordinator should be doing. Now I have a good reason to say no. Yay!
