May. 22nd, 2009 09:51 amI took noname for a long walk yesterday. It was the best day ever for her.
I needed to buy birdseed and ben was working late, so noname and I walked to the pet store together. I was impressed she made it. It was nearly a mile! That's a lot for a tiny dog!
The walk should have taken 15 minutes, but she had to sniff EVERYTHING. Including cars as we tried to cross streets, so I had to carry her for those parts. That dog has no sense of self-preservation.
On a gross note, the walk really cleaned out her bowels. She made three good poops. I bet she felt really light and free after that.
When we got to the store, noname wanted to say hello to all the other dogs. After we did that, I picked up birdseed, a new bird toy, plastic poop bags, and a doggy raincoat.
At the register, the cashier gave noname a treat for doing a trick (sit). Seriously, best day ever for a dog.
By then, ben called to say he was on his way home and could come pick me up. We waited in the parking lot for him to show up. Noname was glad for a rest. And she was totally exhausted when we finally got home. It was a good walk for her.
I get to leave early today, so hopefully I can take her for another good walk. She and I could both use the exercise. And she's so much calmer in the evening when she's too tired to move.
