I want to make strawberry cheesecake.

NOT cheesecake with strawberries on top. NOT cheesecake with strawberry swirls in it.

It should be uniformly pink all the way through and have no nasty gooey strawberry topping.

I can't find any recipes like that! Does anyone one of one?

I don't, but maybe try puree'ing the strawberries and then blending it together with the cheesecake filling?

Hmm...but then you have to account for the extra liquid...

hmm okay this isn't exactly what you asked for, but I think you can tweak it to suit your needs: http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1813,152175-241193,00.html

unfortunately any other recipes I can find at the moment call for strawberry marbling or glaze...I'll keep searching if you want however I do have 234 cookbooks and 40 recipe sites...

It's tricky because of that extra liquid...

I can't remember the last time a recipe from cooks.com has worked well for me, but this one might work. I see they added extra flour. I bet that's to compensate for the extra liquid. I think I'll skip the flavoring and food coloring though. My strawberries are super sweet and fresh, so I don't think I need artificial extras.

Thanks! No need to keep searching! I will see how this works!

::nods:: yeah I'm not sure why there is flavoring and food coloring, but maybe its for when strawberries are off season and not as juicy and sweet ::shrugs:: I hope it turns out well!

and also, yes cooks.com recipes tend to...implode on me, but s'long as I don't follow them to a letter I can usually adjust it enough to suit my needs XD

It uses frozen strawberries though. Usually fruit that is going to be frozen is picked at peak freshness since it doesn't have to travel all the way to a supermarket. Very odd. Maybe the cook just wasn't used to natural strawberry flavor and needed some of the artificial stuff to taste "right"?

Cooks.com needs a better review/comment system. I think that's their big problem. No good way of warning people that the recipe is a disaster.
