same here. My boss has been taking the lab out sailing in two different trips and the second one is today. It is like a tomb in here except for the low sound of the Netherlands vs. Brazil game on a nearby computer, which no one is currently watching.
Anything in DC is right out because the city is a NIGHTMARE on july 4th.
I'm not really up for any firework adventures. Too much work to get there and back, no matter where it is.
Fossil hunting (http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/southern/calvertcliffs.asp) might be an option. But I bet that would be crowded too.
Oooh, Mount Vernon has cake (http://www.mountvernon.org/calendar/index.cfm/fuseaction/event/calID/69/) on the 4th. And lots of events. That might be cool.
Do we need to work within certain times of the day/certain days?
The fossil hunting sounds the most interesting to me but I am open to outings of all sorts. If Kaylee comes she has to be back in town by 10 PMish on Sunday. As far as I know there are no restrictions on anyone for Saturday. Also, maybe fossil hunting on Monday might not be super crowded? I dunno. Let me know if anything sounds interesting.
