Jun. 5th, 2002 04:46 pmWell, today I woke up really early even though I wasn't going to look for jobs. Instead I went to the library. I returned by book, and took out some books on a few crafts I want to try soon. The lady didn't want to give them to me because my card expired in january.
I have tried to renew that card a thousand times. You'd think because I ahve a card already it should be no problem! But because I don't have any id that says my address (remember, I moved), they won't renew my card.
I have tried everything. They won't take my license. They won't take my registration. They won't take my insurance. They want a utility bill from me. Um...I don't pay any bills...I'm a freeloader!!!!
I'm hoping that they'll take my credit card bill when it arrives.
Anyway, after that I walked over to some historical house right next door. I tried to get in, but it was locked. I knocked a bunch of times, but no one showed up! *sniffle*
It'll probably be open on sunday. The town is having some sort of fair on main street this sunday. Anyone want to come along? I can pick you up or you can park at my house and then it's only a few blocks walk. It's not particularly impressive, but it's kinda amusing. Lots of little tables of stuff being sold and the stores on main street usually have nice sales.
So um, then I went on a quest to find the fabric store. Dad said it would be in the home depot shopping center after the turn I amke for
laura47's house. HE LIED! Not only was it before the turn, but it was across the street from the shopping center! *hrmph*
I did eventually manage to get to the store, and I wandered around very very confused. Tahnkfully one of the people who worked there saw the confusion on my face and offered to help. I explained that I ahve this sewing machine, but I ahve no clue how to use it and it looks so much harder than I thought it would be.
He brought me over to the manager. I'm now signed up for lessons on how to use my sewing machine. One lesson on the 22nd and one on the 29th.
I guess this means I ahve to change my trip so I get home on the 21st. Whoops. I didn't think of that at the store!!! ^^;;
Oh, I also got some cheap ribbon to try out my rope idea. If it works, I shall be very happy indeed.
All of taht took up my whole day. I got home jsut in time for Sailor Moon!!!!
